Koal Moffat
"Just thought I would send a picture of
Koal. The Xmas pictures are a fund raiser for the Humane Society. She's
grown to be a lovely dog and very spoiled. Likes to sleep on beds,
thinks she "a people". Loves her ball and retrieving, swimming
and camping are also favorites. She travels well in the motor home and
we have a six week trip planned for Feb. and March." Gwen from

Gertie
GERTIE- DAUGHTER OF BONNIE & MONTANA
Gertie is almost 10 mos. old
now and a going concern. She had a busy fall as I spent a fair amount of
time training her for hunting and Carol worked with her at obedience
classes. We were a little worried it might be too much for a young dog but
she seems to thrive on work. You'll be pleased to know she's the best
hunting dog we've had. She works at a pace I've never seen and it only took
a couple times out before she knew exactly what to do, and she loves it. We
did well with pheasants, the dog was much better than the shooters! In the
obedience classes she graduated as the top dog, finishing well ahead of the
other dogs. The people running the classes would like us to continue.

Duke
Son of Bonnie and Flint

Sonny
Son of Clyde and CoCo
Sonny's 1st owners were unable to keep him. He is
now with second owners who are very happy and proud of him.

King
Just some pictures of King taken
today, he is over twenty lbs now. He is very happy and very smart, he has
learned the basics already sit, stay and laydown.

Here are some pictures of King taken at the end of
July. He is doing great; and he is really big as you can see. He
had a great time on holidays and he is very much a water dog. Loves to
swim and be with people. Just thought you would like to see how he is.
Thanks again.

KOAL

Hi there. I have been meaning to write you a note for quite a while, but
somehow just never got there. Just wanted to say how much we are enjoying KOAL.
She's a lovely puppy and has settled into our house very nicely. She's not
going to be a big lab, just a nice sized "little girl". She's quite
spoiled and loves to "come for a cuddle" on the bed at bedtime. She
keeps our feet warm!!! She's supposed to leave, but manages to sneak back up
during the night.
We went on holidays to Vancouver Island for the month of March in our motor
home and she traveled real well. Loved to run on the beach at Tofino. She's a
hit in Skagway, Alaska when all the cruise ships arrive. All the passengers
have left their dogs at home and love to pet her when we are out for a walk
around town. She's very people friendly.
She's a quick learner and likes to retrieve. Gord was impressed that she was
retrieving the night we got her!!! She can do their basic stuff like shake a
paw, lie down, stay, etc. She's a bit stubborn on the "come", but
getting better. She can "speak" (bark) for a treat and knows the
key words like walk, treat, cookie (and knows which cupboard they are in!!)
Best thing though, I taught her how to ring a bell when she has to go
outside. I read it in a book somewhere and thought I would give it a try. I
have a sleigh bell with 3 bells hanging on the back door and whenever she
needs to go out, rings the bell. Works like a charm. If you ignore her, she
rings it very loudly!!! Have yet to take her swimming, but camping season is
starting, so we'll be out to the lakes soon. And she loves to chew!!!! My
banisters need replacing, from when we had to leave her inside. Now summer
is here and we have a big run, so she's outside lots. Manages to find quite
a few sticks. Her and my daughter's dog (part black lab and part shepherd)
have a grand time running around.
Copper

Just thought I'd send you a picture of Copper.
He is 7 mos. old now and doing great. Full of energy! We recently had
our baby (a girl) and one lick from him gets her whole face. He is
getting tall and we think he will be bigger than our previous lab. His
red color is really coming out as he gets older, you can sure see the
difference since we got him.
