Will

We got Will from you over a year ago, and he is the best dog ever!  He is a BIG, friendly, energetic boy!  We love him dearly and he has simply the best temperament toward our 11 month old son.  It is amazing to watch the 2 of them play together. We are currently making preparations for a move to Houston Texas Thanks for you time…and a wonderful dog! Trudy-Edmonton,Ab.

Do we have a picture of Will?   OF COURSE!!  I have picked one of my favourites, 1390, is shortly after we brought our son home, Will has loved him from the start, he is the number babysitter, and way more fun than any toy or mom or dad!!  I can’t tell you how impressed we are with Will. The last two pictures I just took today so you cold see how he looks right now.  He is a big dog, all energy and all happiness.  What a GREAT personality for a dog…and he is pretty handsome to boot! Thanks again and we will definitely keep you in mind when we think of lab #2!!

Dodger

Andy, Jen & Dodger

Dodger at 2 years

Oct. 24, 2007- I thought I’d send you a couple of pictures I took this week of our “little” boy, Dodger. We can’t believe that he’ll be 2 years old on November 9th! He weighs in at about 95 lbs, so he’s definitely not the smallest lab at the dog park. He’s a happy, healthy dog, with a wonderful disposition. While he has always had his “mellow” side, there’s really not too much indication that he’s slowing down, at all! I had e-mailed you before, with the story about Dodger’s surprise arrival and the wedding proposal. Well, it only seemed fair that he’d make an appearance at our wedding as well! The picture I attached is one of our favorites, we even used it as our thank-you cards. He’s been out in the field and is proving himself as quite the gun dog. He absolutely loves it, and improves with each trip out. Thanks again, we couldn’t be happier with him! Jen and Andy  and Dodger- Calgary, Ab.

Just thought I'd send some pictures of Dodger. Andy and I are always getting questions about where we got him when we have him out! We always tell them it's worth the drive to Athabasca, as he's a fantastic pup! A lot of people always stop and tell us what a "good looking lab" he is...and he loves every minute of it! He's growing to be quite the handsome boy.. he's right on 60 lbs. and will be six months next week. He has a great personality and his disposition is fantastic, he can be a true "puppy", but then just mellow out and be such a great dog. He makes friends everywhere.

We're looking forward to getting him out in the field and into retrieving some ducks... he loves hiking, and especially loves the water.

We had him out fishing this weekend, he was pretty good for his first time in the boat. Chased sticks into the lake for hours, and really swam for the first time.

Not sure if Andy told you the whole story, but the day I met Dodger was pretty memorable.

He hadn't told me anything about talking to you, or that he'd bought him.. it was a complete surprise! I'd been bugging him about getting a dog (especially a lab) for quite some time. I'd even found your website  and made sure that Andy knew about it.. little did I know he'd already bought a puppy from you!

Anyhow, I was waiting at home that day for the "ceiling repair man", as Andy had told me he'd be here between 1 and 3 PM. I was under the impression Andy was in Edmonton on business meetings. To say I was shocked when Andy arrived with Dodger is an understatement! It took me at least a good 10 minutes to believe that he was really our dog. Little did I know that this was only the first part of the surprise.. Andy told me that he and the puppy had a discussion on the way down to Calgary, and that the puppy was happy to come to his new home, but he was just upset about one thing.. that his new "Mommy and Daddy" weren't married. he then pulled out a ring, and asked me to marry him! Let's say that I was completely shocked.. first the dog, then a proposal! We're having a fantastic time with him.. couldn't be happier. No worries, I've started working on Andy about lab number 2.. Hopefully we'll put an order in soon!

Thanks again, Andy, Jen and Dodger- Calgary, Ab.

Ryder

Sept. 2006  Kona & Ryder

Our 'BOYS' are Awesome!  Kona is as mellow as ever and Ryder is as crazy as ever!  We compare Ryder to Scooby Doo all the time!  Seriously, we think he's retarded!  I say that with love and a smile!  What a character!  He is always copying Kona!  If Kona takes two steps forward, looks to the right, sits down then runs to the gate then so does his little brother!  He is his shadow!  When Ryder feels that Kona is getting more attention than him he bites Kona's ear!  Today he bit Carl's ear!  He must have felt that Carl was getting more than him!  He's wild!
They've spent alot of time in our lakes this summer.  Those two will retrieve forever!  We have to finally quit because we don't have any strength left in our arms to throw the stick!  They also enjoy swimming with us!  Ryder has faded quite a bit over the last few months because of the sun.  Kona not so much.  I imagine once fall hits he'll darken up again.
We're sending some pictures so you can see just how beautiful Kona & Ryder are!  We haven't heard from Richard  or Mme. Sophie (she taught Matthew for grade 8) yet.  They are welcome to come and see them anytime.  They definitely won't regret getting a puppy ... or two ... from you!
Hope you had a great summer and it was nice to hear from you!
 Take Care,
 Helen

Kona

Jan. 24, 2006 Kona

Finally, as promised, a picture of our beautiful boy!  He is now seven months old but about six months in this picture.  He weighed in last week at 71 lbs.  Yes, he is a big one and still growing.  Our vet says he'll be one of the bigger labs he's seen!

We couldn't be more thrilled to have this 'little guy' in our lives.  He is so full of  love and unbelievably smart!  Sometimes we wonder how our family was without him!  He was neutered in the beginning of July and the whole thing went very well.  His shots are all up to date and he is as healthy as can be!

We hope to bring another one of your puppies into our family in the New Year.  Hopefully a yellow lab.   I'd like a female this time since I'm the only girl in this family of five boys!  Oops, six, the hamster is a boy too!  Please keep us in mind should you have any litters coming up in the spring time or so!

Adrienne, we are so happy with KONA and would recommend your puppies to anyone who is interested in getting one. Thank you so much for breeding such wonderful dogs!

Abel

On July 24, 2004 Mario and his family brought Abel from Whitehorse, Yukon to visit us. She is 7 months old and weighs 65lbs. What a beauty! She was on her way to their new residence in Quebec, so she is quite a well travelled Canadian dog!

Lady Belle

We had Lady Belle fixed in January according to our agreement. The procedure was performed by Thickwood Veterinary Clinic in Fort McMurray. She is just as hyper as ever as she awaits our return home from work in anticipation of her daily walks.  She remains inside through the day while we are at work and with the exception of socks and shoe laces, she leaves everything alone in the house and relaxes until we come home. I have attached a picture of her at her favorite place...her bed next to the front window.  From this vantage point, she can keep watch on the greenbelt across from our home.

Jimmy

Hi Adrienne,

We couldn't be happier with our dog Jimmy! He is one of the best things that could have happened in our lives. I know I had already told you what a wonderful thing he has done for our family, but I thought I'd write you as well. I think it is something that future puppy buyers as well as present owners would like to know.

In December of 2003 our puppy Jimmy was 9 months old. On one frightening day my six year old son fell into our aerated dugout while I was putting my newborn baby down for a nap. He came into the house sopping wet and crying. I asked him what had happened as I dried and warmed him up. He said he followed deer tracks to the water and the ice broke from under him. When asked how he had gotten out he had said Jimmy heard him and came to the edge of the ice. My son had grabbed hold of Jimmy's ears and Jimmy pulled him to safety. That day was the scariest day of my life, and I'm shaking just writing this to you. Fortunately my son was fine. I'm thankful for every day that we have Jimmy. For him to do such a heroic feat at such a young age is unbelievable to us. Jimmy has grown into quite a large dog weighing 95 lbs. and my vet says she hasn't seen a healthier lab around (no belly fat on this guy.) From the day we got him he has been extremely gentle with my 3 kids. He loves the water, fetching and playing tug-o-war with the kids, I can't thank you enough for this beautiful family dog!! He is worth his weight in gold.!

Askim

I have enclosed a few pictures of the "little" guy for you. As you can tell he is a beautiful dog with the most loving demeanor possible. Enjoy....

Solara

Just an update on Solara, I took her to the vet yesterday for her shots, and she already weighs 16.1 LBS!!! The vet said she is going to be one big girl :-) She's growing like a weed!!
