JACK

Oct. 20, 2008 We just wanted to reiterate how pleased we are with Jack. Not only is he handsome but he is very calm. Started the vacuum cleaner and he didn’t flinch. Started the garbage disposal ditto. Obviously this is a breed trained to be good gun dogs.

Also, he is smart. Got the whole outdoor potty thing on Day 2 and is pretty much accident free today. On Fri, Sat and Sun, he was afraid of the indoor stairs. Today he got up and down them first try. He was very pleased with himself.

He knows his name and today we were teaching him to come and sit. Although not too excited about short walks on the sidewalk in front of the house, today we took him to a big park with a duck pond. Yahoo!  He walked at a fast pace for almost a mile and stuck right beside us on the leash all the way, full of excitement and curiosity.

We are very happy with this dog and he is admired by all.

We’ll send pics soon.

Dave and Hilary

PS He will have his first Vancouver vet visit and shots this week.

Nov. 1, 2008 Hi Adrienne: Here is a sample of our life with Jack. He is growing like crazy, getting very long-legged. He is smart and can do various commands. No problem using the crate for sleeping – he’s usually as tired as us. We are starting to get him used to staying in his crate for short periods of time with us out of the room. He is not too wild about this so we are taking it easy. He loves the beach and seems to discover something new there every day. His first dig is captured in these pics. We’re very happy to have this little bundle of energy in our lives.

Feb. 28, 2009 Just thought we’d drop you a note to say how well Jack is doing. He’s six months’ old and we’ve just had him neutered. He was healing within 12 hours because he is so healthy. It’s 4 days post surgery now and we have to remind him that he is supposed to be taking it easy. I know all new owners think their dog is the smartest, but really, Jack is very smart. He considers things, remembers things and calculates. I don’t know if we have become more dog-like or he has become more human. In any case, we all get on just like a happy litter (I know we’re supposed to be the boss, but it’s a thin line most of the time) For example, we like to run on the beach and he loves lattes. Our cottage in an Okanagan village is on a corner and Jack is the official greeter of every passer by. He puts his paws up on the fence and kind of hops along sideways until the person says hello to him. Everybody smiles. So many people have remarked how healthy he is – his coat is incredibly shiny and wavy on the back. He is affectionate and always seems amazed and grateful when another day arrives and we get to greet each other again. It’s these same people! Wow! So thank you for taking such care with your dogs. We couldn’t have asked for a better friend than Jack. Hilary and Dave

Mojo

He's growing like a weed! Michaelia- Gibbons, Ab.

Hanna

I am sending you puppy pictures of Hanna she is doing very good. She has taken over the house and our hearts.  She is house trained so did well with it . She sit lays down and rolls over as long as if you have a treat for her.  She is not a fan off going for walks she cry's the hole way. She loves to put the Chase on our cat and dog.
She is a wonderful  addition to our family .  Thank you for the puppy
            The Ancelets-Fort Sask., Ab.

Mango

Mango is doing just great, she is so smart, she is trained to her kennel, already knows her “lie down” command.  She is growing like a weed.  She still has a fantastic demeanor for such a young girl.  We are thoroughly enjoying her company.  We so missed having a dog in our family.  She is making friends with the cats, thank goodness they do not have front claws or Mango wouldn’t have any eyes left.  She has adjusted very well to our routines.  She is learning to ask to go outside and we are amazed at how smart she is, at such a young age.  She will be a joy to train.  She has her first vet appointment today for her second shots.  Montana and jet have done well with creating such beautiful puppies.  I have attached a photo of her love for sticks and being outdoors. Cheers, Joanne, Arnie, Austin & Mango- Fort McMurray, Ab

Sadie

Sorry for taking so long in getting back to you, we just wanted to let you know that Sadie had a good trip home, she is doing great and has adjusted very well with our family, she is a real joy to be with. Lana- Morinville,Ab.

Mya

I know it has not even been a week but I thought that I would write you and tell you that we decided to call the puppy Mya.  She is doing so well. House training is going even better than I expected.  She is also into watching cartoons. We both get up around 6 am to go for a potty break and have breakfast and then we sit down and watch cartoons for about half an hour. It is very surprising how long she can actually sit in one spot and watch the TV for. As for the proper name for the kennel club, I guess if you went with the same order that you had on the example sheet, just substituting Mya for Duke would work good. Craig-Grande Prairie,Ab.

July 15, 2008 Been a while and I just thought I would send you a few pics of Mya from our summer vacation.  She is doing just great at almost a year and a half.  She loves swimming and would probably try and go across the lake if we let her.
Take Care, Craig

Kaluha

Just dropping a line to say that we are really enjoying Kaluha. She is full of energy and has been doing great as far as house training goes... she can also walk very well and can beat us out even at her young age of 7 weeks.
She is already learning to sit and come.

Thanks so much for such a beautiful puppy.... she has already stolen our hearts :)

Candice and Wayne, Sherwood Park, Alberta

Here are a few new pics of Kaluha...she is doing great....growing really
fast and is already 24 pounds. She has another vet appointment on friday to
get a booster. She loves to chew and can already do some tricks for treats.
Everyone stops to adore her when we are out for walks and she loves the
attention. She has a great demeanor and socializes well with other dogs five
times her size.  We are enjoying every minute with her.  Candice and Wayne ,

Maxine

I want to thank you again for allowing us to buy our dear MAX (Maxine) from you.  I love her more and more each day.  She's nearly 17 months old now.  I don't think I've ever seen her without her tail wagging madly.  Here's a picture of her playing in the snow.  Isn't she gorgeous?  I have never in my life seen a dog with a shinier coat.  I had her at the vet for her shots and a check-up last week.  They weighed her and she is 75 lbs.  She's a big girl.  She's healthy as a horse (DOG .. hehe).  I wanted to let you know that she is doing wonderful.
Take care, Wendy, Chance & MAX - Dawson Creek, BC

Bud

Jan. 13, 2009 Happy New Year Adrienne,  thank you for sending me the info to change Bud's address on his microchip. thought I would send you a pic with Bud and his new kitten Tika.  Lab's as you know are so easy to get along with and adding a new friend was totally acceptable. He is three now, so I think he has finished growing. Well behaved and wonderful with grand kids.  We have built a home next to our daughter in Thunder Bay so Bud has four great kids to play with.  Heinz is still working for a little while longer but this job is easing him into retirement mode.
Hope you have seen the new movie out Marley and Me, I recommend it for all dog lovers!! Of course the story is about , how not to train your dog!
Barb-Thunder Bay, Ontario

Here's a couple of recent pics of that son of a gun. He gets so wrapped up in playing with his toys. He won't let go one for the other, so often he will grab a couple of his toys at a time so that he won't miss anything. You can tell he is also growing nicely. He gets lots of opportunity to stretch and run around here so he's not gaining any fat, just size and muscle.
Heinz- Slave Lake, Ab.

Kobie

Just thought I would update you on Kobie. He is doing great, the highlight of my life. We are in puppy kindergarten now, and he is doing awesome. Already knows the basics; sit, stay, down and loves to fetch now. Getting him to drop is another story. He is such a social butterfly. He has to be the centre of attention at all times. We are planning on going camping across Canada this summer. We can't wait to get him in the water to see what he does. I think he will love it. Thanks for the great addition to our family. It wouldn't be the same without him.
Christina and Steve- Fort McMurray- Ab.

Murphy

Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how much we are enjoying Murphy. He is growing into such a big boy, and is definitely taking on the physique of his dad...really long legs and thin body. He's a handsome boy that gets so many compliments at the dog park! I also can't stress enough what a wonderful temperament he has. He is great with our kids and our other lab. He is also such a family dog and has a perfect recall at the off-leash park. Most people are amazed that such a young pup has such great obedience. He has bonded very well with our family and we enjoy him so much. Thanks again, Stacey and Glen- Edmonton, Ab.

Ranger

Jet's litter born Nov.30,2005 Sire Montana

Everything is going great. I've started him on Field Training. He has learned sit, come, heel, fetch, drop, single retrieve, double retrieve. He loves the bush and loves to sleep in the truck. It's funny sometimes if the light is right you can see some of the red in his coat. Everybody comments on his curly coat and he a cute little curl of fur on the end of his tail. We're looking forward to summer, swimming in the water behind my house and getting out into the fields and doing some more training. So far Ranger has been introduced to Deer, Mouse, Rabbits and Grouse. He's growing fast and learns very quickly. I'll keep you updated with pictures and e-mails on how he's doing.
Cory - Clairmont, Ab.
