Buddy & Lucy came for a visit today. What a wonderful surprise! Steve from Fort McMurray is doing well with them and is very happy with their good disposition and easy trainability.

Parker

Last night was pretty good, he slept in our bed. I got up 3 times to go outside for a pee, Not me but the pup. (I pee inside, actually he did too).  He would just get restless and off we went, we have established a good spot to go and he's already on command or he smells the rest of it and it makes him go. He's great, the kids love him. He loves the snow and needs a push back in the door, even after I think his feet must be getting cold. The only trouble we're having is we can't agree on a name, I like Parker but I'll let you know in the next few days. The last picture with puppy and box was just a few minutes ago. He finally crashed so I could e-mail you. Thanks so much Adrienne. Will & Carmen- Edmonton, Alberta

Parker hasn't gone in the house in two days. Today he barked at the back stairs so I took him out. He ran to his spot and did his business. We'll see if it happens again. He's so good. Thanks Adrienne.

Parker is getting so big. Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and send a pic.

Just wanted to send you an update. Parker went to his first vet check. Everything was good, he got all his shots and weighs 34 pounds already. The picture was taken in our living room, when we first brought Parker home I put him on the rocking ottoman. He proceded to throw up. Now he can't get enough of it even though he doesn't fit. He tries to sleep and a leg will fall off and it wakes him. Sometimes both back legs will hang off, I can't believe how he runs and jumps up on it and doesn't fall off when it's rocking. Everyone loves him.

We have a new kitten,  Turner.  Turn and Park are amazing together.
Parker chews on Turner,  but is so gentle and Turner chews back.  They keep each other company and always sleep together. I love looking at the web site.  Did you sell all of Parkers siblings?
I can't believe he's 1.......Thanks Adrienne

Caesar

Hello Adrienne, our new puppy Caesar is so good, we just love him. He slept for most of the way home and when he was awake, he just sat or laid quietly on the seat beside us with no fussing. It took us 7 hrs. to get home. He was so good. We stopped to let him have a few bathroom breaks and he just did his business.

When we got home we brought him into the house to meet the other two dogs and this went very well. They just sniffed him over, wagged their tails and that was that. He adapted so well, after he ate he just ran around and played, not acting strange to anything.  I had bought some puppy toys and have them in a plastic bag on a low shelf. I gave him a stuffed toy out of the bag to play with and rolled up the bag. He played with the toy a bit but soon left it in a corner. He than went over to the bag, rooted around to get into it, pulled out a different toy, a little white stuffed bear, and that is all he has played with since. He has not gone near the plastic bag since. . I guess he needed to pick his own toy.

I have him sleeping in a large portable dog kennel at night. I put him into it when we went to bed with his stuffed bear and he just went to sleep. He did not make a noise all night. When I got up in the morning he was just sitting there looking at me. I took him out side and he went to the bathroom. He's only had one accident in the house but this was my fault because I did not read the signs and get him out side in time. He starts walking in a circle when he needs out.
Caesar spent half the day with Dale going for a drive to show everyone he could find our new puppy. They all said he was a nice dog.  I think he will end up being Dales dog.
I will keep updated and will send you pictures.    Carol & Dale  - Enchant, Alberta

Joey

Joey is adjusting very well to his new home. House training has begun. Having rubbed his blanket on his sibblings really helped. He was calm during the car ride home. A snuggly ball of jello as a matter of fact. When we brought him into the house we put his blanket on his new bed and he has used it as a home base since. The first night he whimper for only a couple of minutes and he slept through the night without a problem. He's just a warm fuzzy dream. Looks like house training will take a while. We are keeping him in the kitchen on the tile floor until he is trained. There is someone with him all the time. I will send you updates when we reach some new milestones. Thanks Again. We love our new boy.Michele -Okotoks,Ab.
Things have already started to improve. Later today Joey started to sit at the door and gave a little whine and he successfully went out side. We just have to get our routines going like you said. We even taught him to sit today. Thanks again.

Here's an updated picture of Joey. He's been an absolute joy to have around. He's learned to sit, come, stay and lay down with verbal and non verbal cues. He has also learned not to approach his food dish unless I give him the command. I'm impressed with what he has accomplished at just about 6 months of age. He seems to listen to alpha mommy more than alpha male though.

Ginger

Joe from Fort McMurray called to tell us how pleased he is with Ginger. She is residing with Joe's son and family in Nova Scotia on a wooded acreage right on the ocean. She is very obedient, so gentle with the children and he is very impressed with her lovely coat! He can't say enough nice things about her, which is very pleasing to us also!

Ace

Thanks for dropping by and have a look at ACE. Ace is a very intelligent dog and we have been working with border collies for over 20 years and that says something, and in some ways my wife and I think he is sharper. You saw how he was with 2 yr. old Shawn-Paul. He is very athletic, his sense of smell is acute and he wants to be your friend. We have not discovered a mean bone in him. To us he is the perfect family dog and he is showing signs of wanting to protect our property. Thanks again for selling us this wonderful dog.

I love my puppy, he is so awesome....

Lanny

Can't imagine life before Lanny! He has quite the attitude and, of course, our lives seem to revolve around him! He is a real attention getter whenever we have him out--and he thrives on the attention! Lanny is a great buddy to our other two Labs--never a dull moment around here! Even our vet says Lanny is one of the cutest and most personable pups she's seen in a long time.

Holly from Calgary

Misty

Thought you might enjoy seeing this picture of our pup enjoying her first Christmas.

Roddie

Hello Adrienne:  I finally have some pictures of Rod to send you.  He is growing like a weed.  A very active weed, I might add.  Phil is really pleased with him.  He is very intelligent and for such a young pup, he trains very fast.  Usually anything we want him to do takes no more than two attempts.  Our vet was very impressed with him when we had his booster needles.  He loves to drive in the truck with Phil and gets along great with my husky Chico.  I am amazed at how gentle Chico is with him.  Thanks again, Diane & Phil-Little Pond, NS
